Sam Abbing

Sam Abbing graduated as a tax lawyer from the University of Maastricht in 1996. He started his professional career as a tax lawyer with Arthur Andersen.  In 2002, Arthur Andersen merged into Deloitte, for whom Sam worked as a member of the international tax law practice group until mid-2005.  Since then, he has been a partner in Taxperience (Den Bosch office).

At Taxperience, Sam services a wide variety of clients, from ambitious new businesses to international publicly traded corporations.  His passion for tax comes to light through the many practical and pragmatic tax solutions which he conceives without in any way compromising on the quality of his work.  Sam prefers to jump into rather than evade hearty discussions on tax issues and controversies.  He has been a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Lawyers since 1997.

Sam's main expertise is in the field of direct taxation, with a special focus on (international) corporate income tax planning, transfer pricing, cross-border employment, and qualifications of employment relationships from a tax and social insurance perspective.  He has vast experience with comprehensive tax audits and complex consultative and negotiating rounds of discussions with Dutch and non-Dutch tax authorities.

In his leisure time, Sam enjoys his family, loves to do some running or drink a good glass of single malt.
